Volleyball is a sport where you send an air filled, bouncy ball, from one side of a court to the other, without hitting the ground, or the net. You must get the ball over in three hits. The main hits are, spike, bump, set, and pancake. A spike is the hardest way of sending the ball. You hit the ball with the palm of your hand, as hard as you can, in a swinging motion to send it over. A bump is the medium powered hit. You have your hands together and your arms straight. A set is the lightest hit. When you set, you lightly tap/push the ball in the direction you want it to go. A pancake is the most ‘clutch’ hit. You perform a pancake when the ball is inches away from the ground. Overall, I enjoy volleyball very much and look forward to playing it in the future.
